Christie + Co markets Paddington’s Ventures & Camelot Hotel
23 November 2010
Acting on behalf of private owners, Christie + Co is marketing
the freehold of the Ventures & Camelot Hotel in Paddington,
London, with offers in the region of £15 million sought.
Situated a short distance from Paddington rail and underground
station on Sussex Gardens, the property dates back to c.1880 and
comprises five substantial, Victorian-style buildings, which are
arranged over basement, ground and three upper floors.
The hotel comprises 77 bedrooms, 55 of which are en suite, plus
two additional standard rooms that are currently under
construction, and a restaurant. The business also features a
25-space car park to the front of the building.
There is also potential to expand, subject to planning
permission, a number of double rooms to triple rooms.
Run by the same family for more than 30 years, the hotel
benefits from being located deep in the heart of London, within a
short distance of some of the capital’s most famous tourist
attractions, including Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens and Marble
Arch.
Andrew Evangelou, Associate Director at Christie + Co, said:
“This is a rare chance to acquire a substantial freehold
property in central London. Therefore we expect to receive a high
level of interest in this excellent opportunity.”
