Acting on behalf of private clients, Christie + Co is marketing the freehold interest of the Best Western Henley Hotel in Warwickshire.

Located on the edge of the affluent market town of Henley-in-Arden, the 30 en suite bedroom hotel comprises the 40-cover Riverside Restaurant, a lounge bar, the Henley Suite — a conference/function room with capacity for 40 people, and a 40-space car park.

The hotel is based eight miles from Stratford-upon-Avon, the birthplace of William Shakespeare, which attracts over one million tourists a year. The business is also popular with visitors to public and trade shows at the Birmingham NEC.

Offers in the region of £1.15 million are being sought for the freehold interest of the hotel.

Gavin Wright, Director at Christie + Co, said: “We sold the business to our clients in 2005 and they are now selling in order to pursue other interests. An ingoing operator will have the opportunity of increasing trade from the restaurant to non-residents and growing the function/wedding and conference business.”
