Acting on behalf of MCR, Administrators of Sai PharmaLimited, Christie + Co has sold the freehold interest of Sai Pharmacy in East Ham, London, to established operator Mountford Pharmacy Ltd, for an undisclosed sum, with offers in the region of £3.5 million sought.

Situated in the main shopping parade on East Ham High Street, the business comprises an independent pharmacy with attached medical centre.

Mountford Pharmacy Ltd currently operates three pharmacies plus a pharmaceutical manufacturing business across East London.

Allen Shepherd, Director at Christie + Co, said: “Despite the challenges faced by pharmacists in obtaining funding and the withdrawal of many wholesale loans, there are still excellent opportunities for established multiple and independent operators to acquire further businesses through the acquisition of high-quality single assets.”
