Acting on behalf of the joint administrators KPMG, we were instructed to market over 1,100 closed off licence premises. With approaching 22,000 web hits and over 3,000 offers we continue to progress with the disposal on their behalf. We inspected all 3000 units and provided our initial recommendations within 7 days.
Oddbins
Prior to the unfortunate demise of Oddbins, Christie + Co enjoyed a close relationship with the company having worked closely on a number of assignments. We subsequently offered two tranches of stores on behalf of administrators Deloitte.
Unwins
Christie + Co was instructed by KPMG to dispose of approximately 155 former Unwins units, following their entry into receivership in December 2005. We successfully completed deals on 65 individual lease assignments, producing a premium of over £675,000, in addition to recovering substantial rent arrears.
