Christie + Co’s Paris office sells Rougemont Hotel in Gstaad

Christie + Co’s Paris office recently sold the 4-star 42-bedroom Rougemont hotel and restaurant in Gstaad, Switzerland. The property was acquired, for an undisclosed sum, by the French family owners of a 5-star spa hotel and beauty products brand.

The Rougement occupies a stunning setting, surrounded by high mountain pastures, in the renowned Swiss ski resort.

“Christie + Co was instructed to sell the freehold Rougemont hotel and restaurant in June 2005,” says Christie + Co Director Catherine Rawanduzi. “The hotel is in an excellent location and has a range of facilities, which include a covered heated swimming pool, sauna, Jacuzzi, fitness room and plunge pool. It took us just one month to find a suitable buyer for the property.”

The hotel will be completely refurbished and upgraded by the new owner before it reopens for the 2006 winter season.
