Christie + Co sells home to Avery Healthcare

Christie + Co recently handled the sale of Claremont Parkway Nursing Home in Kettering, Northamptonshire. The home was acquired, for an undisclosed sum, by Avery Healthcare.Avery Healthcare is a newly-established nursing home group with a highly experienced management team. The group has Ridgmont Care Homes’ founder Roger Storey as its non-executive chairman. Mr Storey was Ridgmont’s Managing Director until the company was sold to Ashbourne Healthcare for £88m earlier this year. The experienced new team at Avery also includes care home business entrepreneur John Strowbridge as its managing director, and Ridgmont’s former financial controller Yogesh Mistry.
“We were delighted to assist Avery Healthcare with the expansion of its portfolio,” says Christie + Co’s Associate Director Joanne Mathers. “Avery currently operates homes in Bradford and Cheshire and is expected to acquire additional properties over the coming months.”
The expansion of Avery Healthcare is supported by private equity specialist Graphite Capital, through the provision of a £29 million development capital package.
