FQR
Christie + Co has been appointed by Richard Fleming, Mick McLoughlin and Ian Corfield of KPMG, Joint Administrators of First Quench Retailing (FQR) Limited, to advise on the disposal of c.1,170 former First Quench stores.

Wisebuys
Acting on behalf of the Chelmsford Star Co-operative Society Ltd, Christie + Co acquired three convenience stores from Wisebuys, the Essex-based retail group, for an undisclosed seven-figure sum.
Kentmart
Acting on behalf of owners Mr & Mrs Couzens, Christie + Co sold the freehold of the Costcutter store near Sheerness, Kent, to Kentmart, the local convenience store chain operated by a Mr Arulparam, for an undisclosed sum.
Somerfield
Christie + Co, the specialist property agent and advisor, helped West Midlands-based retailer Bharat Amin become one of the first independent retailers to be passed by the Monopolies and Mergers Commission (MMC) for the acquisition of a Somerfield store.

Gilletts of Callington
Acting on behalf of Santander UK PLC, Christie + Co sold the freehold interest of the Spar store near Bridgewater, Somerset, to Gilletts of Callington, one of the largest independent retailers in the UK, for an undisclosed sum.

Henry Healy
Acting on behalf of Scott McGregor and Ken Pattullo of Begbies Traynor, joint liquidators of Henry Healy Ltd, Christie + Co is marketing the Glasgow-based, former Henry Healy sandwich bars chain.
Johnson’s Supermarket
Christie + Co has been instructed to market the long leasehold interest of Johnson’s Supermarket in Cardiff, which has an asking price of £3.8 million.

Nearby Stores Ltd
Christie + Co was instructed, by administrators KPMG, to sell Nearby Stores Limited. The company operated an estate of 33 leasehold convenience stores located across the South and South West England.

Somerfield disposal
Christie + Co where instrusted to dispose of their freehold convenience store, which we successfully sold to the Mills Group. Christie + Co also acted for Somerfield in the sale of 13 convenience stores and 3 petrol filling stations in Scotland, after their acquistion of Aberness Stores.

Anglian Convenience Stores
Acting on behalf of the directors of Anglian Convenience Stores Ltd, Christie + Co was instrusted to market an estate of 20 stores, spread across East Anglia. The transaction was completed by way of a company share sale.
Sale of Rusts
Acting on behalf of Rusts’ shareholders, Christie + Co has successfully negotiated the sale of the company’s entire share capital to Midcounties Co-operatives Limited.
Rusts is a well known and established family business with a 30 year trading history. The company currently operates ten convenience stores across the south of England, providing around 200 jobs. The ten convenience stores will continue to operate under the Rusts brand, retaining of all of the current staff.

ScotMid
Christie + Co acted for ScotMid in the disposal of a number of stores from its retail estate across central Scotland.
