Acting jointly on behalf of Whitbread, Christie + Co and Gerald Eve sold long leasehold interest of the Greaves Park in Lancaster, Lancashire, to Chameleon Pub Company, the North of England-based pub operator, for an undisclosed sum. This followed the sale of the freehold interest of the Nevill Crest & Gun in Kent for Whitbread, to Brunning & Price, the pub operator, for an undisclosed sum. The momentum we experienced in the run up to the end of 2009 with increased viewings, would-be buyers and deals, has continued during the start of this year. Cases of contract races have risen and we seem to be going to best & final bids on many properties which are good signs that the market is picking up.

• Snooty Inns Ltd sold on behalf of Baker Tilly.
• 7 Walkabout venues sold to Cavendish Bars.
• National pub co disposals represent another high volume sector for Christie + Co with numerous transactions completing to individual cash buyers.
